Valentin Sojar currently works in Iatros Medical Center, a specialized medical center for coloproctology and pelvic floor disorders in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Iatros MC offers outpatient clinic for coloproctology, uro-gynecology and hernia repair, diagnostic procedures (endoscopy, EAUS, manometry, HRA), day surgery clinic, stoma therapy, dietary support and pelvic floor rehabilitation.
VS’s main interests are complex proctology, pelvic pain, endoanal US, pelvic floor disorders and colorectal cancer. He is experienced in MIS for pelvic floor disorders, CR cancer, hernia repair, is an active member of multidisciplinary teams for CRC and pelvic floor disorders.
As a leading surgeon VS and his team permanently develop day surgery approaches in all fields of proctology, including pelvic floor reconstruction procedures, such as laparoscopic mesh rectopexy, anal sphincter repair, Delorme procedures, urogynecology procedures and hernia repair.
He finished his surgical training and developed his surgical skills as an abdominal and liver transplant surgeon for more than 20 years in UMC Ljubljana. He took position in MC Iatros in 2016, participated different courses across Europe and clinics with dr. E. Csatar, prof. G. Santoro and prof. B. Roche for his coloproctology specialization.
He is active in national and international meetings with presentations of the clinical work. He is a member of ESCP, ESOT and Slovenian national associations. He is a clinical lead and director of Iatros MC currently.
